Governance Membership
The Board of Directors has a current membership of 11 Directors. They meet at least five times per year. In line with the Articles of Association, our directors are also our members.
They operate at a strategic level with ultimate control over the direction of the Academy Trust.

Most day-to-day management decisions are made collectively through the Board of Directors. Some responsibilities are delegated to sub committees. There are three main sub committees:
- Remuneration Committee
- Resources Committee
- Audit
Voting: Any decisions within the agreed remit of the Committee and in line with Committee Terms of Reference will be accepted by the Board of Directors on a majority vote of the attendees.

The Board of Directors manages the Academy on behalf of the Academy Trust and the key responsibilities are to:
- Ensure the quality of educational provision.
- Challenge and monitor the performance of the school.
- Manage the Academy Trust’s finances and property.
- Manage the staff.
- Exercise reasonable skill and care in carrying out their duties.
- Ensure that the Academy Trust complies with charity and company law.
- Operate the Academy in accordance with the Funding Agreement that has been signed with the Secretary of State.
