Year 6 PGL, Liddington, Wiltshire
Forming part of the KS2 experience, the Year 6 residential trip will take place 18th September 2017 to 22nd September 2017. We are very lucky to be able to offer our students the opportunity to visit PGL Liddington in Wiltshire, a new centre which opened in 2010 and is set in 150 acres of grounds.
The pupils develop skills of independence and team work, which will be vital during the course of Year 6 and as they move into KS3. The trip also provides an excellent opportunity for pupils to bond with each other and their new class teachers.
The site offers a great range of activities such as abseiling, archery, climbing challenges, fencing, ropes course, mountain biking, trail orienteering, biking raft building, zip wire, sensory trail sports, trapeze treetop study, plus a large indoor entertainments room and cinema.
Our school will be allocated private sleeping accommodation consisting of children’s rooms sleeping 2-6, with teacher’s rooms spread out on every floor. The modern dining facilities will provide children with three hot, healthy meals a day, with plenty of choice and able to cater for all special dietary requirements.

We are away for 6 days. We spend the first three days in and around Bayeux in Normandy, visiting the D-Day landing beaches and some of the World War Two cemeteries in the area.
We also view the Bayeux tapestry and spend some time soaking up French culture in the town of Bayeux.
After that, we move on to Paris, where we visit the Eiffel Tower and spend some time on the River Seine. We also spend a full day at Disneyland Paris. On the journey home, we also try to stop at a hypermarket so students can buy some French delicacies to bring home.
In 2016, we are away from Sunday 24th to Friday 29th April 2016.
