Ralph Sadleir Association (RSA)
The Ralph Sadleir Association (RSA) is an important part of school life. The charity comprises parent and staff volunteers who work tirelessly to raise funds for the school.
As you may be aware, the government injection of funds into education is reducing and in real terms schools nationwide are finding it very difficult to ‘balance the books’. Therefore, it is sad to say, it is the small resource items that are cut from the budget plan. The RSA fund raising boosts these resources and it’s our pupils that benefit. This makes it all worthwhile.
Our RSA members have been working in partnership with the school and they have been very successful in organising events and raising funds. Through their successes, in previous years, the school was delighted to have taken ownership of a brand new minibus costing in the region of £24,000! The pupils now can travel in larger groups to sporting events, trips and local schools with ease. In addition to this large purchase, the RSA have donated funds to support school activities such as the Anthony Glenn workshop, year group workshops, break time equipment; table tennis, Connect4, and many more valuable resources. The RSA have even hosted a Ralphie Fest which raised over £2,000 where we enjoyed Adele and Paul Weller tribute acts, country music, disco, fun activities for the children such as face painting, bouncy castles, craft stalls and tasty food/drink for everyone to enjoy.
