Meet the Team

Vicki Wilson

Hi, I’m Vicki Wilson, the SENDCo here at Ralph Sadleir. I absolutely love having the freedom to collaborate with a wonderful variety of children and teachers right across the school. Helping our students reach their full potential through fun, engaging activities is incredibly rewarding, and there’s nothing quite like watching the amazing progress they make. I think our school is a truly unique place thanks to its positive ethos, warm atmosphere, and a fantastic, caring team of staff and pupils. When I’m not in the classroom, I’m usually busy ferrying my own children to football and gymnastics, exploring new places on holiday, or simply enjoying the great outdoors with my family.

Jo Selby

Hello, I’m Jo Selby, and I work as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) at Ralph Sadleir. Life here is brilliant because every single day is completely different! While the job certainly keeps me on my toes, supporting our students is wonderfully fulfilling—especially when they remember you years after they’ve left school. As a team, we always go the extra mile to ensure every child feels safe, included, and cheered on for their achievements. Outside of school hours, you’ll usually find me gardening, reading, catching up with family and friends, or hanging out with my two cats, Buddy and Lilly.

Stephanie King

Hi, I’m Stephanie King. I wear a couple of different hats at Ralph Sadleir as both a Food Technology Teacher and a TA. In the kitchen, I absolutely love teaching students about nutrition and introducing them to adventurous recipes they wouldn’t ordinarily try—it’s great seeing them discover a new favourite dish! I really appreciate being part of a community where the teachers are so deeply invested in both the academic and holistic development of every child. For my own downtime, I am a keen forager who loves getting out into nature, and I also enjoy a good chat at my local book club.

Marie Coppin

Hi, I’m Marie Coppin, a Learning Support Assistant here at Ralph Sadleir. The absolute highlight of my job is the simple, rewarding knowledge that I am helping our children thrive every single day. Ralph Sadleir stands out to me because of the genuine care, warmth, and nurturing environment we all provide for the pupils. My home life is just as centered around family; when I’m not at work, my absolute favourite thing to do is spend quality time with my own children and plan fun family activities together.

Aidan Young

I’m Aidan Young, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) here at Ralph Sadleir. One of the best things about my role is the sheer variety it offers—no two days are the same, as I get to work across a wide range of subjects and even step in to teach some of the classes myself. I love that our staff works so seamlessly together; it creates a wonderfully calm, friendly atmosphere that naturally inspires our students to try their hardest and achieve their absolute best. When I’m off duty, I’m a big fan of live music and love attending concerts, as well as exploring history by visiting old buildings and cathedrals.

Sarah Waddington

Hi, I’m Sarah Waddington, and I’m a Learning Support Assistant at Ralph Sadleir. For me, the most rewarding part of being here is watching the children grow in confidence and seeing the incredible progress they make in their work over the school year. Ralph Sadleir is an incredibly welcoming place, and what truly sets us apart is that everyone—staff and students alike—is made to feel like a valued part of the ‘Ralph Sadleir family!’ Away from the classroom, I love taking my two dogs out for walks and making the most of my free time with my children.

Rachel Ranford

Hi, I’m Rachel Ranford, and I focus on interventions and ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) work here at Ralph Sadleir. My passion is supporting children as they navigate and overcome various difficulties, and it is incredibly fulfilling to watch them discover new strengths and develop lifelong skills. In my eyes, it’s our pupils who make this school such a unique place; they are so welcoming, have a fantastic sense of humour, and are wonderfully accepting of one another, which creates a truly inclusive environment. In my free time, I love winding down by reading, going for walks, and enjoying the great outdoors with my family, friends, and dog.
