Freman House
Hello! I’m Mr House, the Freman House tutor. Since joining Ralph Sadleir in 2021, I’ve loved teaching Mathematics and Physical Education—subjects that build critical thinking and teamwork. Witnessing my students’ growth motivates me daily. In my tutor group, I foster a calm, relaxed environment where students of all year groups can bond. I’m especially excited to welcome our new Year 5s and take part in school trips. Outside of school, I enjoy gym workouts, football, and playing high-level hockey. I look forward to working with you and your children and welcome open communication.
Freman Owens
Hello! I’m Miss Owens, the tutor for Freman Owens at Ralph Sadleir. Having joined our supportive community in January 2025, I love teaching a variety of subjects, particularly English, Maths, and summer rounders. Our tutor group prides itself on being calm, friendly, and respectful. We celebrate collective achievements and give our all in house competitions. I look forward to welcoming new Year 5 students each September and participating in enriching residential trips. Outside of school, I stay active by visiting the gym, playing football for a local team, travelling, and chasing after my lively miniature dachshund!

Hello! I’m Eden Riddle, the tutor for Freman Riddle. I joined Ralph Sadleir in January 2025 with nearly six years of school experience. As a teacher, my favourite subject is Maths. Having faced challenges with it myself, I offer tailored, innovative strategies to help students build confidence. In our tutor group, we enjoy morning chats in a warm, safe, and welcoming environment. Outside of school, I love the gym, socialising, and walking my dog, Sully. I look forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Hi, I’m Mrs Bentley, tutor for the Sadleir Bentley group. I’ve taught for over twenty years and love Ralph Sadleir’s spirited environment! I teach engaging history and geography lessons, exploring everything from the Tudors and world wars to map skills and population dynamics. Our students are truly awesome—engaged, full of potential, and a joy to teach. In our tutor group, I focus on support and encouragement, motivating everyone to be their best. Outside of school, I enjoy walks with my dog Red, playing rugby and hockey, and visiting theatres and historic sites.
Sadleir Brooks
Hello! I am Mr. Brooks, the proud tutor for the Sadleir Brooks tutor group. Having worked in schools for over 15 years, including teaching here since 2021, I love our school’s strong sense of community. I have a real passion for teaching English, Geography, and PE. In Sadleir Brooks, we are a fun, caring, and energetic team where everyone can thrive. I enjoy welcoming our new Year 5 students and look forward to the Year 6 PGL trip each year! Outside of school, I enjoy long walks with my dog, Kip.

Hello! I’m Ms Angela Dias, a tutor and Early Career Teacher at Ralph Sadleir. Having lived in France and with German relatives, I have a profound passion for languages and cultures. I love sharing personal anecdotes to inspire my students’ own learning journeys. In my tutor group, education is a reciprocal relationship driven by curiosity, where students can express their thoughts freely in a dynamic, interactive environment. I find immense joy in witnessing their progress and growth. Outside of school, I enjoy nature walks, yoga, gym workouts, and playing the piano. I look forward to creating a supportive, enriching environment together!

Welcome to the Sadleir Dobson tutor group! My name is Claire Dobson, and I have been a proud teacher at Ralph Sadleir since 2009. I truly value our school’s incredible community, where energetic students and supportive staff create a vibrant learning environment. I am passionate about teaching History, especially topics like Crime and Punishment and HerStory, which explores the lives of inspiring women. Outside of school, I love travelling, hiking, and visiting historical sites. Our tutor group prides itself on being a warm, supportive space filled with positive energy.

My name is Kerry Coppen, and I enjoy being a tutor. Having taught at Ralph Sadleir since 2003, I love our school’s dynamic atmosphere and supportive community. I have a strong passion for teaching, particularly Maths, History, and Geography, and I love bringing the world’s stories and logic to life. Within our tutor group, my goal is to cultivate a strong sense of belonging where every student feels supported.

Hello! I am Jamie Haigh. Having attended Ralph Sadleir myself, returning here to work—most recently as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant—is incredibly rewarding. Our students truly embody our school values of kindness, enthusiasm, and excellence. In the classroom, I especially love teaching Food Technology, where students showcase amazing creativity and practical skills. Salisbury Haigh is a wonderfully close-knit, supportive group. I am thrilled to welcome our new Year 5 students to our team and enjoy creating more memorable experiences, house competitions, and school trips together. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, walking, and movies.

Hi, I’m Samantha Hindhaugh, tutor for Salisbury Hindhaugh. Having worked in education for over ten years across all Key Stages, I joined Ralph Sadleir School in Easter 2023. I am passionate about mental health support and teaching PSHE and Maths, aiming to make problem-solving fun while equipping students with lifelong skills. In Salisbury Hindhaugh, I cultivate a nurturing, honest, and motivational environment where every child feels valued. This year, I look forward to working collaboratively with parents to foster resilience and confidence in our students. Outside of school, I enjoy family walks with our dogs and supporting my children’s activities.

Hi, I’m Mrs McIver, tutor for Salisbury McIver. I’ve been teaching for 18 years and have proudly been part of the Ralph Sadleir community since 2007. What I love most about our school is the warm, friendly atmosphere and our enthusiastic students. My passion is teaching English; books open doors to new perspectives, and I am excited to teach A Midsummer Night’s Dream this year. In Salisbury McIver, we focus on support, fun, and starting the day with a smile. Outside of school, I love travelling, camping, and adventure sports, bringing that same spirit of exploration to the classroom!

Hello! I am Darren Arthur, Wellington Arthur Form Tutor and Science teacher. With over 31 years in the classroom, I still bring that day-one passion to Ralph Sadleir School. I aim to create a positive “buzz” in my classroom, engaging students in the awe and wonder of Science—especially my favourite topic, the Periodic Table. Our tutor group is a fun, respectful space where students grow into independent young people. Outside of school, I love football, Charlton Athletic, Depeche Mode, film, and reading.
Wellington Draper
Hi, I’m Clare Draper. With eight years of teaching experience, I joined the wonderful community at Ralph Sadleir in September 2024. I am passionate about creating a happy, inclusive tutor environment where positive relationships, open communication, and high aspirations thrive. I love teaching mathematics, science (physics, chemistry, and biology), and languages (English and French)—fostering logical thinking, curiosity, and communication. Outside of school, I serve as a Primary Science Advisory Teacher and enjoy running, cycling, and family time.

Hello! I am Mr Grist, tutor for Wellington Grist. I joined Ralph Sadleir School in 2018, bringing over 25 years of teaching experience to our vibrant community. I love our students’’ enthusiastic energy and passion for learning. I especially enjoy teaching Computing—an ever-evolving subject that captivates students—and Physical Education, which promotes teamwork outside the classroom. In our tutor group, I foster a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment where everyone feels valued. Outside of school, I enjoy travelling, sports, kayaking, and camping.
