Friday 19th December

And relax…..!! Well as I’m hosting 13 family members for lunch, not really!! My only present request this year is that my little boy has a longer Christmas night lie in than last year (2.30am) – Please Santa, I have been a good boy this year…honest!!

It has been a long action-packed term and everyone in school (adults and children alike) are exhausted from their efforts.  This week showed no let up as there were Christmas parties and the Key Stage 3 disco – which the children enjoyed almost as much as the staff and parent governors!!  The kitchen staff had sprouts coming out of their ears as they served 3 Christmas dinners.  The week’s frivolities culminated with the evening and school carol performances which allowed the musical talents of the orchestra and choir to be showed in their fullest.

Finally, I will end with the words of the fine 20th Century philosopher, Shakin Stevens:  Snow is falling (Must be somewhere, clear skies over Puckeridge as I type), The Ralph Sadleir (sic) Children are playing and having fun (deservedly), It’s the season of love and understanding (Children don’t pester your parents).
