World Book Day – 7th March 2014
To celebrate World Book Day, our students and staff came in to school today dressed up as well known book characters, with most following a mathematical theme.
We had a group dressed as James Bond (007 being the mathematical theme), a fair few tigers from The Life of Pi (Pi is a name given to the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter), several groups of characters from The Famous Five and Jacqueline Wilson’s book called Double Act. We had a lot of Dalmations and we were all a little wary of Cruella De Vil and The Queen of Hearts, but luckily we had Mary Poppins to look after us.
Other costumes ranged from Princesses, to witches, to One Direction.
Thank you to all staff and students who took the time to dress up, you all looked super ! Take a look at our Gallery page for photos.
Well done everyone !
