Friday 18th July
Finally 190 days after it began…it’s over, my first year as a Ralphie done and dusted. For others today is their last day at Ralph Sadleir but they will never ever stop being ‘Ralphies!!’
We are proud to achieve and this week has been a celebration of achievements both individual and collective. Today we had our achievement assembly where the winners of the Merits and House points were awarded. These can be found in the ‘About Us’ section of the website in the School Awards and Trophies Section.
There was a big win on home soil for a British golfer this week, no not Rory McIlroy , but our very own (technically sort of) Olivia D in Year 8 who helped Herts School win the McPartlin Cup.
My week began and it is only right that it ends with Year 8. Monday saw their rewards trip to Thorpe Park which was hot and enjoyable despite the less than white knuckle ride known as M25 traffic jam!!
Earlier in the week the announcement of the winners of the David Jones prize were roundly cheered as Jack Fitzgerald and Molly Anderson joined the other worthy winners.
And it ended with their Leaver’s Concert where some of the talented and creative performers showed off their skills and others just showed off – cleaners and cowboy boots, i’ll say no more!!
I will leave you with the eloquence of Year 8 in describing themselves – We were proper sick!!
Have a great summer holiday.
